NEXT for Women Featured at Women of AT&T Event
On February 22, 2010, NEXT for Women was featured as a professional development resource at the Women of AT&T Triangle Chapter 1st Anniversary Kick Off event themed “Love Yourself”. The group explored how ‘loving yourself’ translates into career, family and other aspects of a well rounded life.
The event also featured networking opportunities and presentations by top executives Steve Dimmitt, Senior Vice President, AT&T Sales East, and AT&T State President – North Carolina, Cynthia Marshall.
Women of AT&T is an Employee Resource Group (ERG) of AT&T and is open to all full-time regular status employees of AT&T. NEXT for Women was thrilled to be a part of this great event!

Breaking The Myths About Career Networking
Networking is often a misunderstood concept. The development of a strong network requires making connections that will sustain more than a simple introduction. Those connections, and the support required to maintain them, are the necessary ingredients to developing a network. An initial meeting or contact with someone does not establish a connection unless there is followup of some kind. The followup must suggest a genuine interest in developing a mutually supportive relationship.
